Traditional IM's in the 21st Century Teaching and Learning

Much changes have been made in the teaching and learning process, the modernization of teaching and learning paved the way to the development of efficiency and effectivity in connecting positive relationships between the teacher and the learner. But will traditional instructional materials loosen its grip in the advent of updated and new technologies in this era?

So what then is Traditional Instructional Materials? traditional instructional materials are the materials used by the teachers to their students in teaching their lessons. This includes the use of textbooks, chalk, board, charts, and flashcards. Its effectivity may vary on how the teachers used these materials in the teaching process. Thus, provided that the student can actively manipulate the materials used, then you are on the right track. With that said, integrating traditional instructional materials in the 21st-century teaching may still have its positive effect to the students because we are providing them a "hands-on approach" that directly involves them in the teaching and learning process and encouraging them to do something, in short, it is learning by doing. so is this option better? traditional instructional materials are often compared and criticized nowadays because of the incorporation of technological advancements, one cannot remove traditional instructional materials entirely to achieve efficient and effective teaching. Students and teachers will benefit more if both traditional and modern instructional materials are fused together in order to create a more effective, efficient, fun, and interactive learning experience.

let us remember that as teachers we need to use varied materials and strategies because our students vary also on the way they think (consider multiple Intelligences of the students). To emphasize, for me it doesn't matter which instructional materials we should use whether if it's to be traditional or modern as long as we deliver what is expected from us as teachers in this era.
